About ANTI

ANTI was a fortnightly political and cultural magazine in the non-attached area of the left. Many important journalists, politicians, thinkers and cartoonists wrote there, and it was a breeding ground for a new generation of outstanding contributors. The immediacy of the material in each issue with the current reality, the unattached identity of the magazine, and the creative collaboration with its director and contributors led Skouras to a multi-year collaboration for cover design. This work is characterized by improvisation, the diversity of the media he used for its realization, the journalistic logic of the image marked by strong symbolism, and above all the need for quick realization. Although the images were not part of his pictorial pursuits, Skouras considers the covers he made for ANTI to be extremely creative material with a strong personal involvement.
