About MOSSAIKON

The world of communication, advertising, and fashion connects with a universe of diverse issues, aesthetics, questions, and quests. The body of work titled MOSS(A)IKON has been entwined in this circle of thematology. Using the figure of Kate Moss as the cohesive vehicle, an allegorical mosaic of images has been created. A multiple visual reading with different starting points, the paintings, taken both as a whole and each individually, seek a semiological deconstruction and a painterly synthesis of the stereotypical icon of the SUPERMODEL.
